The bound and gagged body of a missing  63-year-old man was found near the main road to Cerro  Azul, on Wednesday, April 24.  

José Ureña,  deputy manager of Air Panama had been missing for four days after he  had  reportedly left for work but never arrived

The body in an advanced state of decomposition was found gagged and tied hand and foot reports La Critica.

After the disappearance of Ureña, the National Police initiated intelligence and tracking operations, and on  Saturday, April 20, captured three men in Felipillo, in eastern Panama. one of them with an extensive police record. The three apprehended wanted to sell the car owned by Ureña for $2,000  reports El Siglo.

Two people are in preventive detention for six months while investigations are completed into the strangling death of a Panama airlines executive.

 José Ediberto Ureña Rodríguez disappeared on April 17,  when relatives reported him missing when he failed to pick up a relative at Tocumen International Airport

His bound and gagged body was found in Cerro Azul on April 23.

Ureña, according to the forensic report, was strangled. He was stripped of a necklace and a gold ring and a 4x4 vehicle that the suspects were trying to sell for $2,000  the car valued at more than $20,000  for The jewelry items were recovered in a pawnshop.
