NewsLady
This morning the monster storm that struck the US yesterday is passing through Boquete, creating one of the coolest weather pictures ever. Blue is precipitation and the dragon’s hat is snow. Boquete is literally the tail of the dragon, as the storm pulled warm moist air all the way from the equator on the fast track to Washington DC and New York. See the full posing on Chiriqui Life. This pic is from 7:18am Sunday. Could be more rain for the next two days. Or not... Screen grabs from Meteoearth for the iPad.
TwoSailors
This is the latest satellite pictures from NASA: http://weather.msfc.nasa.gov/GOES/goeseasthurrir.html The system already passed Panama and was never a threat. More details here: http://forecast.weather.gov/shmrn.php?mz=amz039&syn=amz001 Just a suggestion, but it might be wise to consult these sources, ( more then one) when posting news on weather. Bonnie
I don't think Mark's post was for the purpose of frightening or alerting anyone. The point, as I read it, was to note that even localized weather phenomena have widespread implications.
