Tuesday, August 14  - There will NOT be a talk this week as the play Rumours will be in production and we don't want to take a chance with the set, lighting or sound.  See you next week!\

Tuesday, August 21 - Jason Cuthbert is a computer science student at FRCC in Colorado, he will be giving a talk about Internet security and good practices to follow to stay safe online.  This is something that is important for all of us.  Q&A will definately be a part of this talk.

Tuesday, August 28 - Newcomers Panel Q/A  If you are new to Boquete or just have questions, this is the talk to attend.  Al Stefanelli, Lin Hall, Larry Schramm and Penny Barrett.  Each has been in Boquete for a different length of time.  I call it a Newcomer's Talk, they will each describe a little about themselves, how long they have been in Boquete, what made them choose to come here, what challenges they faced settling in, etc.  Most of the time will be available for the audience to ask individual questions.

Tuesday, September 4 - Alain Mulaire is Director of Operations at SOListmo. Alain first moved to Panama from Canada in 2006 and has since lived in both Chiriqui and Azuero. Although he also runs the operations department of Planet Telecom, in 2015, management at Planet Telecom started to seriously look at solar energy and saw the potential in Chiriqui – thus launching SOListmo as a sister company to Planet Telecom. Since then, SOListmo has completed over 30 solar installations across the province. From homes, businesses and several telecommunicatons towers, SOListmo has gained significant experience with implementing solar energy in Panama. The talk will be an introduction to solar energy, the different options from off-grid, grid-assist to grid-tie systems – their strengths and weaknesses. We will also look at some of the projects in the country and talk about how to put solar in your home here in Boquete. We’ll also talk about non-solar power back-up systems that can help with the frequent power outages in Boquete. And of course, we plan on setting aside a significant amount of time for your questions.
