The Panamanian government announced yesterday that on August 6, it will deliver 49.8 million dollars to public servants of the second item of the 13th Month; an extraordinary bonus that is paid annually, informed an official source.

The Comptroller’s Office said in a statement that the second item for a total of 49,892,329.66 dollars will be paid to 268,860 public
servants.

According to a breakdown of said Office, the Executive Branch, which has 228,594 employees, will receive 43.0 million dollars, followed by independent institutions with 2.6 million, municipalities with 2.5 million, the Judicial Branch with 995,730 dollars. and the Legislative Branch with $ 663,170.

The second installment of the bond is paid on August 15 and the third on December 15, according to the legal standard, which remains in force for the private sector.
