I try to believe in a better world but there is so much hate/war/corruption/fascism that it is hard to remain optimistic.  I too was naturally (I say "naturally" because any normal human being interested in a better world would naturally be upset knowing this individual lives in our community) appalled at the tirade and anti-semitic remarks on ning and hope never to meet this person or his enablers.  Hatred at that level is a sickness that requires serious treatment.

Colleen is a superb chef and you would never guess her food is gluten free.  It is good for those with and without gluten issues!  Yum!

With the invention of computerized POS systems, it seems everyone has forgotten how to order, price and ring up manually.  I also agree with Bonnie, who ever headed up this project should be fired.  Maybe something else is going on and this is a smoke screen (?).

Gosh Keith, it is difficult to maintain our Canadian trend of being mild mannered and polite when stuff like this is going on!  Are these people elected or appointed?

Had lunch there last week.  FANTASTIC!  Great prices and the food is fresh and quantities are decent.  No alcohol but you won't miss it................:-)

Good news for Panama and reassurance for other countries who black listed us after the offshore scandal.  Varela is doing a good job in my opinion.

Wow, such a low age of consent in Panama.  In the US if both children are 15, the male is still charged and listed as a sex offender for life.  I believe is an older woman has relations with an underage boy, she is considered a child abuser.

Isn't the age of consent in the U.S. 18 years?  I believe everything under the age of 18 is considered statutory rape whether consensual or not.  Am I right?

Looks like a huge project!  We need more schools and teachers in Chirqui and this will be a wonderful addition.  Maybe we can keep our young people from joining gangs if we educate them better.

Mr Dog will be at ARF's pancake breakfast October 1st at the Animales building.  He has some very unique things and also engraves tags at a reasonable cost.

Simple detective work could have found out where this criminal was hanging out since he did not flea the area,  So why was he still at large.  A shame he had to be shot to death by "rivals" when the police probably knew where to find him and could readily pick him up alive and well.  In a perfect world someone with that many warrants would flea to hide elsewhere because the police were actively looking for him.  I can only think that the police are understaffed, have no detectives or undercover personnel, or just don't care.  I sincerely  hope it is not the last excuse.  I have heard so many stories like this where the police in Chiriqui have not done their due diligence.
