My sympathies to his family and friends.  It is difficult to lose someone anytime but particularly hard this time of year.

As usual, there are Panamanian prices and Gringo pricing.  Socialism?  I have heard Two Sailors called many things but never Socialists.  LOL

Compared to Mikes, The Sandwich Shop and Sugar and Spice, they seem a little expensive.

I want one of those!  Beer and fridge.

Question, can this process be bypassed if one wants to become a citizen of Panama?

I have Mas Movil and like the scratch off cards as well.  I have a tablet that does everything a smart phone does so I don't need anything fancy however, I can put $5.00 on it today and without even making a call, the money is gone in 2 weeks.  What is up with this?

Look at these cute faces!  Casa Esperanza serves the Finca Children, boys and girls, ages 4 to 18.  Each school is responsible for raising funds to support their effort.  Please help us by donating "stuff" (clothing, furniture, household items etc.) for their Vente de Patio on Sunday January 29, 2017.  We will be beside the ARF tent at the Tuesday Market to receive your donations from 9 am to 11 am.   Thank you for supporting this wonderful cause.

While anyone who does not know how this shadow economy actually works will find this paper interesting and surprising.  While the people utilizing these kinds of shelters are the same ones that run the governments in a lot of cases, I believe full disclosure is a pipe dream.  Would be nice though.

With this news I am sure prices will continue to rise.  I understand there was once a time when you could get a used vehicle for less than it would sell for in the U.S.  May have to start looking for a cheaper country to live in.  LOL

If marijuana is legalized here in Panama, I wonder what percentage of drug trafficking will disappear?  As I understand from the articles above, cocaine seems to be a major problem due to our proximity to Columbia.  Does the Columbian government cooperate with Panama in this crackdown?  Having worked with speed addicted young people in the 60's, I have to agree with the opinion that the addict will always find a way to get what they need and there will always be someone to take advantage of that need.

Casa Esperanza will be collecting your unwanted stuff at the Tuesday Market again this week.  Please clean out your closets and garages and donate it so we can help Casa Esperanza help/feed/teach the finca children.  Vente de Patio to be held sometime in January 2017.

I have heard that the meat handling plant in David is horribly unsanitary.  This tidbit came from someone who bought pigs there and switched over to Gray River Farms organic pigs.

I have republican friends in California who are asking me about Boquete because for them, Trump does not represent their party line.

After the election apparently the Canadian immigration site went down for 2 hours because of the influx of American's looking to immigrate!
