City Dwellers Escape to Boquete

Many residents of Panama City escape the mayhem there and spend the Carnaval holidays here in Boquete.

José Blandon, the Alcalde of Panama City, came in to Baru yesterday and sat down for lunch with our own Boquete Mayor, Millo Walker.

Apparently when Mayor Blandon was here last week there was a discussion with Mayor Walker and local businessmen about Panama City's new video surveillance cameras and how the program could be beneficial in Boquete.

Speaking of, where did Boquete's two stationary cameras in the park and one mobile camera go?  They went offline when they turned on free WiFi service.

I could only locate the following under Technology Mission on that site:

 

"The installation of Web Cams in the Boquete Park and the Park in David"

 

I guess the cameras are no longer in use.
