How Do I Remove Quoted Text From the Text Entry Box?

JudyS

Question

I am trying to reply to Susan & Pat on this topic.  At first I hit quote, but the post would have been way too long with the quote, so I started over and just tried to put the reply in the box minus the quote.  It just kept pasting the quote every time I clicked on reply.  I even checked out of CL and back in 2 more times to try again.  Same thing.  I can't enter a reply without the quote showing, and I can't get rid of it.

The software is designed to "protect" the body text from unintentional loss by keeping a hidden copy in your account.

However, if you really do want to get rid of that text, simply select the quoted text box. That will cause a plus ("+") sign inside a pop up box to appear at the extreme top leftmost of the quoted text box. Then select that + sign and delete the text box.

Let me know if you need more help.
