Variation of imports Between the first quarter of 2017 and the same period in 2018 the import value of wines in Panama increased from $5 million to $5.2 million. For the periods in question, the value imported from Spain grew by 39%, going from $1.1 million to $1.5 million, and from Chile it grew by 13%, increasing from one million dollars to $1.1 million.Origin of imports From January to March 2018, 28% of the value imported from Panama came from Spain, 22% from Chile, 13% from the USA, and 11% from Italy. For the quarter in question of the last seven years, Spain is the market of origin of imports that has grown the most.
