They are pleading guilty to criminal (gang) association. Let's see what kind of sentences they receive. Trial of 21 Alleged Gang Members in Chiriqui 21 alleged members of the gang "Revolution Crew", appeared on Tuesday before a judge for their alleged links with the crime against collective security to the detriment of Panamanian society, in the form of illicit association to commit a crime (gangs). This hearing was conducted under the rules of the abbreviated process, under the rules of the inquisitorial system at the request of the defense, which was accepted by the judge liquidator of causes of the Third Criminal Court. The Public Ministry, the fiscal Mary Eugenia Fuentes of the Office of the Special Prosecutor for crimes of unlawful association, requested condemnation of the 21 persons accused of the crime. The alleged group which operated in the slums, The Revolution and la Florida, in the district of David in the Chiriqui province, are related to different crimes such as robbery, theft and other offenses. Article 330 of the Penal Code punishes with 4 to 6 years in prison those who constitute or form a gang. This penalty may increase from 7 to 14 years if the pool is dedicated to commit homicide, kidnapping, extortion, robbery, auto theft and crimes related to drug trafficking, money laundering, rape, trafficking in persons, child pornography, among others. After listening to the arguments of both the Public Prosecutor and the defense, the judge of the case will study the law to enable him to pass judgment. B.
