We had dinner last night at Retrogusto Restaurant which is located just north of the main church. (This is the fourth* Italian eatery in town.) Two people in our party ordered pasta, others selected the pork chop. Everyone in our group agreed the food was well prepared and delicious. Service was first class and extra attention was given when a birthday cake was served. (We had ordered a special birthday cake from a local panaderia which we took to the restaurant.)

Noticed information at the bottom of the menu indicating no service charge and no reservations policy ends December 31, 2015. Does that mean prices go up?

Also, a Cash Only sign is posted near the entrance.

*To our way of counting, the four Italian restaurants in Boquete now are:

  • Retrogusto - Bajo Boquete
  • Parmagiana - Bajo Boquete
  • Il Barolo - Alto Lino
  • Il Pianista - Alto Lino

Did we miss any?
