Chinese Ambassador Feted at a Special Dinner at the Feria

Mayor of BOQUETE PARTICIPATES IN DINNER GIVEN IN HONOR OF THE CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO PANAMA

A great dinner in honor of the Chinese Ambassador to Panama, His Excellency Weihua Wang, Yon Xiuling (wife) and Entourage, was offered by a group of Boquetenos, professionals who have been able to attend seminars through scholarships in the Asian country in previous months.

In the same event the Mayor of Boquete Emigdio Walker Vásquez and wife Ana Gabriela Ortiz participated as one of the special guests , as well as other guests such as the President of the China Society and, at the same time, China's trade link in our country, Dr. Alfonso Mou and wife.

Those who have had such valuable opportunity thanked and gave recognition in the name of our country by the enrichment and increase of knowledge with the provided scholarships in China, grantees thanked the Ambassador in charge Weihua Wang, for the opportunity and by the ties that unite many Bquetenos and especially Panama with China.

Too funny Bonnie!  Panama just recognized Taiwan as being part of China.  I am thinking that would not be politically correct for the Taiwanese.

A number of Boqueteños, two with whom we're acquainted personally, have visited China recently as guests of that government, as part of what would seem to be a program of cultural introduction. Both are young women who would have never had the funds to make this kind of travel.
