Salvadores de Animales Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 She is in the Los Molinos community and we are not sure if she is currently pregnant, or has had her pups yet. She needs to be seen by a vet, and we need to find a safe place for her. If you can help, please contact us. ARF supplies all food and medical needs for the rescues that are taken in by fosters. We are fearful that if she does not have a safe place to go soon in the next couple of days that she will need to be removed from the property…..and then it is left to fate what will happen to her. ARF is a small non-profit animal organization dedicated to the rescue, care, foster and adoption of the unwanted and neglected animals in Boquete and the surrounding areas. Salvadores de Animales Posted January 8, 2017 Author Posted January 8, 2017 Update: Ginger is in a temporary "holding area" (our last resort) where she is on her own and has little socialization. We are urgently seeking a temporary home for her where she can interact with people on a regular basis and get the attention she deserves. She is great with people, but is still fearful around other dogs and can be aggressive, so we are looking for a foster that does not have any other pets at this time. Can anyone help???? Dottie Atwater Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 This reply is not a "foster solution" but an idea. I am "fostering" a dog (that apparently I will keep). He wandered to the clinic in October and we sterilized him. He had a wide bloody wound around his neck. He had been tied with a wire and obviously worked at it for a long time in order to get loose. He was fearful but not aggressive toward humans. Freddie is in a place separate from my other dogs. Any time one of them would go near his fence, he would growl. Finally my employee and I would take him on a leash out with the other dogs for 10 minutes or so every day. He was afraid, tucked his tail, and growled when one came near him. Finally, though, he became comfortable around them. We are still doctoring Freddie every morning for a couple of issues; when we finish, Freddie is eager to go with the other dogs. Just an idea to acclimate the dog with other dogs... Quote
