Administrators Admin_01 Posted September 11, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 11, 2016 This is the sixth in a series of audio podcasts by Michael Schwartz -- Chiriqui Life Stories. The subject of this podcast is Mike and Heidi Rehm, the owners of the Mike's Global Grill in Boquete. They tell their stories of their early years and then their initial professional careers before they met and worked in Alaska, again independently but in close proximity to each other. Then they both started working on assignment at the South Pole Station in Antarctica. That is where they met, got engaged, and later returned to the US and got married. Mike and Heidi ultimately end up in Boquete and buying what used to be called Tammy's Restaurant. This is indeed an interesting and certainly unique story that few people can envision. If you see two options below, we recommend using the "Listen in browser" option as opposed to the "Play on SoundCloud" option. This podcast is 32m30s in duration. Penny
I learned a lot from listening to this podcast and now have a newfound respect for Michael (Rehm, not Schwartz). Have always been amazed at Heidi's hard work and perseverance. Oh, yes, I also think Michael Schwartz is great with a very professional voice and approach to these interviews.
Administrators Admin_01 Posted September 16, 2016 Author Administrators Share Posted September 16, 2016 If you clicked on a hotlink in an email distributed via News Boquete, and expected to be taken to the podcast of the interview with Gabrielle and Patrick Reynolds, be advised that there was a technical flaw in that email hotlink. If you are here and really want to listen to the Reynolds podcast, then click on this link (that is properly configured): http://www.chiriqui.life/topic/3578-chiriqui-life-stories-gabrielle-and-patrick-reynolds/ With sincerest apologies.
