Chris McCall Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Come learn to make Paper this Saturday June 18th or next Saturday June 25 both at 12 noon. The class lasts for about an hour. The class is held at the library. Stop by the library to register as we can only take about 15 people. The class is taught in Spanish and English. There is no charge to attend. We have been teaching children at the library how to make paper for the last two Saturdays. They have had so much fun and several of their parents have participated so we came up with the idea of opening the class up to adults. Saturday June 25th we will be making Japanese paper from Kozo bark and a little abaca (banana) This results in the thin crisp transparent paper know as rice paper. It is fun to make and a little slimy. If you want to come bring bric brac or tiny flowers or anything you think might look good in paper. The class is taught by Chris McCall and Lauren Handler of Black Rock Art Ranch with lots of help from Mary Ellen, Sharon, Tom, Cathy, and Steve. 5 w's Quote
