NewsLady
This time last year 43% made resolutions to make the coming year better. This year? Looks like we’re over it – only 29% are trying for better things in 2022. Let Take-A-Hike help you with your resolutions. 2021 has us throwing up our hands in defeat - it’s understandable we’re burnt out and feeling helpless. Here’s the thing - Self-improvement has always had very little to do with what’s going on in the world around us. It’s up to you and me to make this year the best it can be regardless of the utter nonsense happening in the news! So what about it? How about picking something you can work on personally that’s not dependent on anyone or anything else and quietly going for it? For those who made resolutions this year here are the top 5: Most people who make resolutions want to exercise more, lose weight, get organized, find a hobby and live life to the fullest. While these are excellent goals it helps to narrow things down. Exercise more is easier to achieve if you put guidelines in place: For example “Exercise ½ hour 4 times a week” is a goal that’s achievable and measurable. Lose weight is a major resolution for most people but is easier to reach if you write an action plan. For example “Exercise and lose 10 pounds by Feb 15th” gives a measurable goal and a means to achieve it. Don’t let the unpredictability of the last few years deter you from making your life the best it can be. The truth is we’ve never had control over what happens in the world around us. But we DO have control over our own choices, goals and growth! One of the best, easiest and least risky exercises is walking – hiking – getting your heart rate up for cardiovascular and aerobic health and getting physically (and mentally) fit. The mountains of Boquete provide the perfect venue for achieving your exercise goals. Take-A-Hike is the best free resource to help you achieve your goals and have the best quality of life.
