    Also online.

The section referring to 'Rules of the Road', so to speak, is on Page 38

Titulo IV, Normas de Vialidad y Transito

    http://www.transito.gob.pa/sites/default/files/reglamento_decreto_640.pdf

Thanks for the link Keith. I noticed  Article 43: Faros delanteros de luz blanca o amarilla en no más de dos (2) pares con alta y baja, ésta última de proyección asimétrica:

(Freetranslation.com: "Headlights of white light or yellow in no more than two (2) pairs with high and
low, the latter of asymmetric projection.")

Which seems to definitely imply that the crazy lights you see on the front of some cars are illegal. Of course the police don't seem to mind though.

  2. Not a surprise to anyone. I see lots of bad driving especially after 6 pm but also all day. Plus badly designed roads. The improved road near David looks better because they got rid of the death canal in the center. with a center divider. I still recall encountering a pile of sand or fill several feet high blocking one lane of the inter american highway at night with no signs lights nada 16 years ago.

For what is worth, I asked the Boquete Municipio and they said these stickers were only available at Jaramillo Arriba Corregiduria for residents of that area. I got the info from staff in the Tesoria while paying my water and trash (up 40% by the way).

Also, new speed bumps (black and unmarked, not cool!) just above Revilla and on the street west of Calle Principal.

And where is the  Jaramillo Arriba Corregiduria please?

  4. Great to hear you found a solution. I'm looking around Chiriqui right now for where to settle but have lived in Panama for many years. I'm not involved with horse activities currently. I used to work on my uncle's farm with a few show horse's and ponies and one heavy horse. Plus I have lot's of experience moving heavy equipment and trailers in the mid west.

    All the best

  5. JudyS to look on the positive side. You saved about $7,600 by dropping Part B for 6 years. Putting it towards your $56 per month increase the savings should help pay towards the next 11 years payments. Add a little interest to the savings and it could stretch a year or two longer.

I hope I've got this right please someone correct me. It does show how complicated and inter connected all the possible options are.
