This Soup Fest is another great Boquete community activity. We always discover new varieties of our favorite soups.
Don’t miss this 😄😄

Happy that Chef Juan is offering this Western movie next Wednesday. This is one of my old time favorite. Thanks.

Just ordered my Oktoberfest dress for the October 20 big party. Save this date for a special fun time!

Sounds like good food and a good time.

Brian, Marcelyn here.
DAC Transport, Inc. did have a colorful pamplet (maybe too few for BCP audience) for handout at today’s meeting.
I did manage to secure their Panama City phone number: 263-7155.
Take care of yourself. No more physical injuries. ?

Another GREAT idea from this organization.
PS. Like your graphics, too.

We, with several friends, enjoyed seeing this fantastic photo display.
Besides fantastic photographic images, the best part was revisiting the feelings we first experienced when seeing these places in person for the first time years ago. Through Larry’s photographic skills we got to revisit those scenic views again.
Thanks!

Thanks for bringing this program to Boquete. Sounds like the microchipping I did for my cats in the U.S.
Anouk, our beautiful rescue Husky, will be getting a microchip. ?

This sounds like a fun time!
Please save two tickets for us.

Hurrah!!!! Another Ole Timey Radio Show will happen April 21st. at BCP. I’m starting to jump up and down, clap, and laugh just remembering what fun we had at the last program.
Get your ticket early (price only $7.00) and enjoy the great local entertainment.

What a great program! The best $5.00 I have spent in Boquete.
Kudos to all performers and staff, especially Phil Bennett the President of BCP.

We attended the Chilli Challenge today and enjoyed several tasty entries. Much noise in the sampling room, but this is the announcement of winners I heard:
Larry White with his entry of "Little Bit of Texas" won first prize. Larry also won the Best Display award.
The Garden's entry received Runner-up.
Ruby McKensie and Sandi Stephens representing Amigos de Animales won best award for Vegetarian Chili.
Didn't see any losers in any of the entries........looking forward to next year.

We noticed this morning (July 16) before 8:OOam people were gathering in Parque Central in Bajo Boquete. Local police were busy marking off/closing streets near this same area.
-
I agree. Hope Boquete has more musical programs like this.

Oops.....the Moderator is sorry. I wasn't the Star in my Spanish Class

What "serious losses"? Things were stolen from BCP's LaVilla Cafe or a fire, or?
-
Jere:. Beautiful photography. Thanks for sharing.

Good news. Your Boquete Soup Fest program is a happy happening for our community. Hope your knitters group keep up the good work of producing baby clothing for the needy families.

The theatre isn't big enough for some of the audiences that certain speakers attract.
Blocking the exit aisles from the theatre is probably more dangerous, but less noticeable, than blocking the exit in the parking lot.
Is the designated Exit at the Oasis end of the parking area functioning or are some people still trying to leave through the Enter Only gate?
Yes, Keith, the designated exit at the Oasis end of the parking area was blocked by that large Toyato pick-up. Other car owners were sort of practicing "free parking" in the lot. We felt sorry for the attendent (Frank?). Poor man was doing his best to guide the traffic; not an easy task.
We managed to leave the premises without damage. Guess it was a good day after all.

We tried to attend this presention by Penny Ripple re "Trips around Panama" in the BCP this morning. Every chair was occupied by the time we arrived. People were standing in the exit aisle. A suggestion was that we sit on the floor in front of the stage or the steps in the audience area, but we declined. (I would have needed help to stand up after the talks ended).
We left home early for the program; the real problem was a white pick-up truck in the parking area blocking both the entrance and exit. Several cars had to back-up, vehicles needed to halt off the bridge; some managed to turn sharply to avoid a near miss. We finally got past this congestion and found a parking spot on a side street. All of this took the bigger part of an hour plus listening/talking to a bunch of angry people about this situation.
Sorry Penny. Hope the program was successful. Maybe next time for us.
Nothing succeeds like success. The person selecting the topics for the Tuesday talks is doing a fantastic job.
