Bonnie
It's been overcast and cold most of the day in Palo Alto, although certainly better than the last few days. It's raining again late this afternoon. Where is this coming from? As John points out, there's nothing on the satellite.

Because of the "bowl" around Boquete (formed by the mountains) Alto Lino and Palo Alto always seem to get more of their fair share of clouds and bajareque. I understand the bowl effect, and this area certainly receives a lot of rain as it passes over the Telemanca Mountains from Bocas. My observation in this instance is that the satellite shows Bocas to be clear. That led me to wonder from whence cometh the rain.

Bonny, it is my experience having lived on several continents that "mountains make their own weather" irrespective of what happens on the coasts, thus the multiple micro-climates we have here in Boquete.
