According to preliminary reports, the four left the bank branch taking several bags of money. The first investigations led to the discovery of a red sedan car that was abandoned in the neighborhood adjacent to the square where the bank is located and that is presumably related to the robbery. As soon as the emergency call was given, the National Police launched a search operation and after a procedure carried out in the Pedregal sector very close to El Parador, a taxi was located, apprehending the people who were on board. However, at the moment there is no official statement from the authorities to confirm whether the vehicle and the people would be linked to the robbery. Operation Detroit has led to proceedings in San Miguelito, Alcalde Díaz, and Pueblo Nuevo, by personnel from the Primary Care Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with the National Police. The proceedings allowed other people to be verified, as part of the investigation into the theft of more than $22,000 from the branch and the theft of a firearm from the security agent at the bank.
