The General Directorate of the Penitentiary System reported that the shooting occurred in Sector A of La Nueva Joya. Immediately, State Security groups and the Ministry of the Interior arrived at the scene to carry out search operations "to remove firearms from circulation." Likewise, they coordinated with the Public Ministry to initiate the investigations.
