Thousands join 24-hour relay for child cancer patients

Thousand of people turned out on Saturday morning to participate in the annual "24-hour Relay for Life Race" to support The Friends of the Child with Leukemia and Cancer Foundation (Fanlyc).
It will continue on Cinta Costera 3 until Sunday. October 20 at 10 am. The marine viaduct will be closed, until 3:00 pm on Sunday.
The funds raised will be allocated to help the daily work carried out by Fanlyc, covering about 850 cases. The foundation's work includes the donation of drugs for chemotherapy of cancer patients and psychosocial support, for patients and their families.
