Climate change has affected more than 100 hectares of watermelon in the Pacific region of Azuero.leading to taking  over  $240,000 from the climatological disaster contingency fund The money was received by 38 producers from Isla Cañas, Tonosí district, who had crop losses . Yina Smith, governor of Los Santos, said that it is an economic  support system  covered  by law, so that producers can recover 2017- 2018 and  be able to sow in the 2018-2019 season
