CAFE HOURS: Monday: 12 noon - 4 pm (Monday Movie 1 pm) Tuesday: Cafe open: 8 am - 1 pm (BCP Market: 9 am - 12 noon) Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: Cafe open: 10 am - 6 pm Closed on Sundays! --- Open later for special events! SCHEDULED EVENTS: Full Moon Drum Jam Monday, August 7th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm All are welcome to join the circle - experienced or first timers. There will be some “loaner” drums, but bring your own if you have one. This is a great community event for anyone who would like to experience something a little different. Come join in or just listen or dance. Outside, weather permitting. Free Event. Writers Read Friday, August 11th, 2:00 - 5:00 pm Novelists, Poets, Bloggers, Playwrights, Short Story Writers. Come listen. Come Participate! All are welcome. This group is open to the public, as encouragement for other writers, and a window on the creative process. You will be instructed in creating a painting, supplies will be included (canvas, paints, brushes)… you will leave with a unique piece of art that YOU created! This event is run by Make Art, a company in David. Class is taught in English and Spanish by bilingual instructors. What is a ‘senior single’?… well, there are no hard and fast rules, and everyone is welcome… but in general this is a social group for those who may be living or traveling solo, and perhaps those who are a bit older and wiser than those ‘young kids these days’… ;-) 1:00 pm — Game Day Come play with new friends and old! This workshop is created for the existing business owners in Boquete who want to increase sales and income. Business Coach, Kirsten Kent Peck has been involved with startup businesses and teaching people how to be successful for many years in New York and Florida. Her new business - Panama Catalyst combines her love to teaching with promotions and business development for our community. Drawing Class August 30 - September 27, Wednesdays 10:30 am - 12 noon “Drawing is what you see, flattened on the picture plane. The purpose of this class is to reduce conflict between the brain modes by causing your langugae mode to drop out of the task, and bring your right brain to the forefront of activity. Exercise by exercise, you will begin to gain confidence, drawing on your ability to SEE what is actually there. We will be using a professionally written workbook, by Betty Edwards of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. Additional material will be added as the need arises.
