Meet at San Francisco Plaza to follow our tour leader, Dr Peter Sterling to this private estate on the other side of Potrerillos. $5 donation (benefits the Library) per person.Three hour visit, short talk with Linda, and time on your own to bird watch or collect cuttings and seeds, swim, take photos, eat your lunch, enjoy the gardens and water features, etc. Originally a citrus farm, this property has been 'wildscaped' to provide habitat for birds, butterflies and wildlife. Linda Scott is a photographer and has captured many rarely-seen birds on the farm, with over 350 species identified. She has given a talk at BCP Tuesday Talks showcasing her amazing photographs. See the link below... You are welcome to collect seeds and plant cuttings of the many native plants. Absolutely must wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed shoes. Bring swimsuit, binoculars, camera, bug spray, garden shears, plastic bags or a box for cuttings and seeds that you collect.
