NewsLady
I have expanded my range of artisan woodturnings to include 7" long single cigar tubes made from Panamanian woods. The matching caps have o-rings that seal the tubes tightly and securely. Each tube is made by hand on my wood lather here in Boquete, sanded smooth, and finished with a buffed-on coat of pure Brazilian carnauba wax. The current collection of these finely crafted tubes are priced from $30 - 40 each. I am also turning 9" wooden plates for my friend, Richar Huisa Mamani, a local Panamanian artist who is an excellent painter as well as a jewelry maker. I will have two of Richar's beautiful hand-painted plates available tomorrow - one featuring a quetzal and the other a scarlet macaw. $40 each. -- David van Harn Woodturning Artisan Boquete, Chiriqui, Panama
