Bud Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Drafting of new regulations by the Varela administration regarding private tourism investment in protected areas is continuing. This initiative aims to exploit protected areas in order to develop sustainable and ecological tourism. http://www.centralamericadata.com/en/article/main/Panama_Private_Tourism_Investment_in_Protected_Areas I suspect I won't see anything of this in my lifetime. Keith Woolford Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Hopefully not, Bud. I suspect that outfits like Ancon Expeditions who have been around forever and have promoted sustainable tourism in other sensitive areas such as Gamboa, will be anxious to participate. Obviously, the conditions and regulation of these kind of licenses need to be thorough and with total regard for the environment they are exploiting. Quote
