Panama Bans at least 2,000 Travelers Entry

In the 31 days of the month of May and so far this month of June, the National Immigration Service has banned the entry of 2,115 travelers who have arrived at the Tocumen International Airport, the institution reported this Tuesday, June 18, 2024.  According to the entity's data, the inadmissible people intended to enter the country or transit to other destinations. 

Immigration Panama reported that 889 people who were not allowed entry upon arrival at the air terminal presented fraudulent documentation or criminal records and were considered a threat to national security.  Meanwhile 1,226 people, who remained in transit, were also prevented from continuing for failing to comply with the legislation of the National Immigration Service.
