According to EY's 2023 Global Information Security Survey, cyberattacks in this region have increased by more than 60%, with many massive ransomware-type attacks. During a 2024 meeting, EY highlighted the relationship between rapid technological innovation and the evolution of cyber threats, highlighting key concepts to confront these challenges. As detailed in the study, the main vulnerabilities include limited detection capabilities, networks not dedicated for work, and default configurations. Specific weaknesses include inadequate segregation of roles, errors in remote access configuration, and lack of security on workstations and mobile devices.
