The ten provinces of the country and the Ngäbe Buglé and Emberá Wounaan comarcas are being monitored, especially in the sectors identified as being at risk. “We maintain a rain prevention warning accompanied by electrical storms throughout the weekend. In the same way, there is a warning for strong waves in the Panamanian Pacific”, said the director of Sinaproc Carlos Rumbo. The bad weather is influenced by a low-pressure system and the intertropical convergence zone reported the Hydrometeorology Directorate of the Electricity Transmission Company, SA (Etesa). The authorities reiterated the call to the population not to visit beaches and rivers due to forecasts of heavy and avoid crossing streams and stay away from power lines and poles.
