Help an organization providing Health Education here in Panama

Dear Friends,

  I met with Yuri yesterday to find out about this project.  The organization is loosely tied to Planned Parenthood in the US. They are trying to raise $5000 to start this project to provide the services described to the community.  If they succeed, they will then be allowed to try and raise $50,000 to continue and expand this project.  If they don't reach $5000 by the end of Sept. then the project will be dropped.  Please let us help them reach their goal for this very important service to those in this wonderful country.  If you go to the URL embedded in Yuri's email, you can learn more about the organization.

APLAFA works in Panama (Chiriquí, Veraguas, Colón, Panamá Oeste y Panamá City) providing sexual and reproductive health services to women at risk. Since we were founded in 1965, we have assisted 200,000 persons.

Just recently, the GlobalGiving Foundation selected us to participate in its Accelerator, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organizations around the world.
