As you know, Buenos Vecinos de Boquete works ambitiously to serve the community.  Our most important sponsors, however, make our work possible.  As we introduced previously, AgroNosotros is one of our very valued sponsors.  AgroNosotros is a group, composed of a few smaller companies.

One of these companies is International Coffee Farms, whose coffee is commercialized under the brand Cuatro Caminos.  This company strives to own and operate Specialty Coffee farms in Panama that are economically, socially and environmentally sustainable. Sustainability is the cornerstone of their business model.  It is not just a buzzword thrown around or a marketing tool.  AgroNosotros believes that with these 3 pillars of sustainability they can produce amazing Specialty Coffee now and for generations to come.

Another division of AgroNosotros is The Perfect Pair, which serves Cuatro Caminos coffee and who also makes delicious chocolate treats. Every month they make sure that each family we support enjoys their tasty chocolate treats through their product donations. If you want to try some of their specialty coffee and chocolate treats, head right on over to The Perfect Pair in the heart of Boquete, Panama!

SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

Buenos Vecinos de Boquete would also like to share a message we received from one of our generous and thoughtful donors.  Here is the message from Lynne J., “Your newsletters are so heartwarming.  You all are doing such good work!  May the Lord bless your efforts mightily!”    THANK YOU SO MUCH, Lynne.  We love your kind message.
AUGUST FAMILY OF THE MONTH

It is so exciting to be able to share this family with you!  The patriarch greeted us with the warmest welcome.  He was as happy to see us as we were to see him and his family.  When we first came upon “Pappy,” he was working on many cars, as he is quite the mechanic.  He is the father of this family’s mother, Wendy, and the grandfather of Wendy’s seven beautiful children,Duvan (13-years old), Francisco (13-years old), Isaac (11-years old), Jose (9-years old), Wendy (8-years old), Adys (2-years old), and baby Alan (1-year old).
This home, though small, is filled with lots of energy and dreams of happy and healthy children!  Jose is the hardworking father, who is a 41-year old handyman.  He is quite the landscaper and construction worker.  Although the pandemic has impacted his ability to find steady work, it has not stopped his can-do spirit to support his family.  Given that the government has not lent a hand, his hustle and positive attitude keep the spirits high at  home. He and Wendy have taught their children to treasure what they have, their family and their land.

As a family, they fully enjoy hiking, swimming, and exploring waterfalls.  Surrounded by Panama's lush natural beauty, they have learned to appreciate their natural environment every day!  The outdoor beauty is a daily reminder for Jose to work hard for his family wherever he can find work and to ensure that all seven of his children continue their education and live a happy and healthy life; as that is Jose’s ultimate dream for his loving family.  Until regular work is found, Jose and Wendy are thankful for the supplemental food Buenos Vecinos de Boquete is able to provide for their family.

How You Can Help.

If you would like to help our clients and the efforts of Buenos Vecinos de Boquete, we would appreciate your donation of any size. It’s important for you to know that we are a small all-volunteer force with no administrative or overhead costs. Every dollar of your donation goes to the purchase of food for out clients. When you make that important decision to help feed the less fortunate in our community, you have truly become a “good neighbor”. When you donate $400 a year or a little more than $33 a month, you become a Coconut Foundation Member as an acknowledgment of your concern and generosity. Donate Online: We use PayPal for easy and secure transactions.
