It is with a very heavy heart that I announce that my mother, Lillian Young, took her journey home Tuesday, 24 August 2021. She was 3 months to the day short of reaching 100 years old.

Those of you who have been here for a long time will remember her sweet nature, her sense of humor and her quick wit. She moved here to be with me in 2005 and decided to move back to The States in 2015 at the age of 94, where she managed well to live alone until March of this year when she suffered a stress event. In April at her insistence, she moved to a group home where we were still able to rely on Whats App to video communicate 4 times a day. She missed Boquete, so we would often share live virtual tours of town and the countryside.  In July during one of those videos, I took this screenshot … still sharp a whip!
