The National Emergency Operations Center (COE) monitors weather conditions. Taken from @Sinaproc_Panama

A green alert until November 15 was issued yesterday by the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), due to the intensification and development of tropical wave No. 46, which was located from the west of Venezuela to the east of the island of Hispaniola .

Carlos Rumbo, director of Sinaproc, specified that the green alert is for the provinces of Panama, Colón, Coclé, Darién, Herrera and Los Santos.

He added that the alert is issued due to the possibility of an event that could put the population at risk, so the joint task force holds constant meetings to update information on the weather phenomenon through monitoring and prevention notices.

The yellow alert will remain in effect for Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro and Veraguas.

In the province of Chiriquí, Sinaproc staff continues to search for 12 people who have not been located since the accidents last week: 2 in Cerro Punta, 5 in Pueblo Nuevo, 1 in Paso Ancho, 3 in Las Nubes, and 1 in Gualaca.
