Wednesday, October 7, 2020 According to the interactive platform "Construction in Central America" of the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, Costa Norte LNG Terminal SRL, submitted to the authorities the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to develop the project called "Loading Station for Liquefied Natural Gas Tankers". Learn more about CentralAmericaData's "Commercial Feasibility Studies". This project seeks to facilitate the transfer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the facilities of the Costa Norte Thermal Power Plant, which is based on natural gas, to tank trucks for its mobilization outside the facilities. The document details that three loading bays will be installed, which will have the capacity to attend, at the same time, up to 3 trucks. The maximum number of trucks that will be able to be in the loading station will be 6. The EIA specifies that each bay will be equipped with a weighbridge. The displaced steam will be returned by differential pressure to the gas terminal and LNG recirculation will be provided. An independent control system or remote terminal will be installed in the truck loading support building. According to the EIA, this project is expected to require an investment of approximately $13 million. https://www.centralamericadata.com/en/article/main/Natural_Gas_Refueling_Station_Investment
