She purchased the box in Hong Kong more than 30 years ago. The box is large enough to store much of your jewelry or other valuables. Or use it for spices in your kitchen. The box is heavy and sturdy and measures 8" wide, 4" deep, and 3.5" high. There are no cracks or chips on this lovely box. Similar newer Chinese boxes are for sale on the internet between $165 and $293 (plus shipping). The Boquete Handicap Foundation would be very happy to receive $130 for this treasure.
