La Autoridad Nacional de los Servicios Públicos (ASEP) anunció este viernes 26 de junio que la tarifa eléctrica disminuirá para más de 1 millón de clientes de ENSA, EDECHI y EDEMET en el segundo semestre de 2020.

En ese sentido, la disminución en la tarifa sin subsidio para los clientes de ENSA será de 8.9%, EDECHI 4.9 % y EDEMET 1.2%, lo que representa una reducción global de 4.60%.

Armando Fuentes, administrador de la Asep, dijo que el Estado mantendrá el subsidio a la tarifa eléctrica que será de B/.40 millones, de los cuales, B/.25 millones corresponderán al Fondo de Estabilización Tarifaria (FET) para clientes que consumen hasta 300Kw/h, y B/.15 millones para el Fondo de Tarifa de Occidente (FTO), dirigido a casi la totalidad de los clientes de EDECHI.

El subsidio estatal en el primer semestre de 2020 fue de B/.48 millones, de los cuales B/.26 millones fueron destinados a FET y B/.22 millones a FTO.

Fuentes indicó que los clientes también podrían ser beneficiados con una disminución del costo con aporte del Estado calculados para los meses de julio, agosto y septiembre por la pandemia del COVID-19, sin embargo esta propuesta está pendiente de aprobación por el Consejo de Gabinete y el Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas (MEF).

El Gobierno aplicó una disminución de 50% de la tarifa eléctrica ara quienes consumen de 0 a 300 Kw/h al mes; y una disminución de 30% para clientes residenciales, pequeña y mediana empresa, con un consumo entre los 301 y 1,000 kw/h por la pandemia para los meses de abril, mayo y junio.
