The Manneken-Pis (peeing boy) wears a king of the Congo costume consisting of a crown and a scepter, and its multicolored appearance refers to nature. The costume is used during dances that metaphorically recall the era of ancestors and the victory of good over evil. At the waist of the figure, stuffed cords are attached that refer to the families that have separated. The commercial attache of the Embassy of Panama in Belgium and the EuropeanUnion Alfonso Young, gave the inauguration noting the strong history between the two countries, dating from the sixteenth century when Belgium and Panama were part of the same empire.
