HEALTH: Panama maintains measles  lookout

 Panama’s The Social Security Fund (CSS) reports that the country’s health surveillance system of the country remains on alert to the outbreaks and deaths that have occurred worldwide with measles, a disease that had virtually been eradicated.

 In Panama, according to the entity's statement, there have been no indigenous cases since 1996. María Ríos González, National Coordinator of the Expanded Immunization Program of the CSS, said that in 2011, four cases of imported measles were treated and controlled and during the year 2018 actions and vaccination plans were taken in response to the outbreaks of measles that they were showing up in neighboring countries. . . Out of this total,3,634 were the MMR vaccine (Papera, Rubella and Measles) and  3,634 thousand and 1,853 , the MR vaccine (Rubella and Measles) .
