So far the passage of about 40 buses through the control post of the National Service of Migration (SNM) was counted, said the regional director of Chiriquí of the Tourism Authority of Panama, Siguilinde Palacios. The official said that authorities of both nations coordinate the logistics of care for these travelers in conjunction with customs and migration, so it is verified that they carry their documents and insurance in order to make an expeditious step. Palacios stressed that the entry of foreigners for this time is with the interest of shopping tourism and visit different places of tourist attraction in different areas of the country. Most of the tours in Panama include visits to the Agua Clara locks in the province of Colón (north); viewpoint of the Bridge of the Americas, Calzada de Amador and the promenade of the Cinta Costera in the province of Panama. Another activity that the tour operators will do for Costa Rican tourists is the visit to the Panama Metro, since it is the only suburban that exists in Central America. In addition, the itinerary will have trips to the most important shopping centers. The tourist entity reported that most of the buses left on December 25 and will be back to Costa Rica between January 3 and 4. By tradition, after Christmas parties, during this season of the year the migratory movement increases in the border area, which includes the entrance, in addition, of Nicaraguans, Americans and Salvadorans. https://www.panamatoday.com/panama/some-2000-costa-ricans-enter-panama-shop-and-go-beaches-8780 Quote
