NewsLady Posted January 13, 2016 Share Posted January 13, 2016 Thank you to all the kind hearted souls who dug deep to help my Panamanian friend, Heidy with her hospital costs. Heidy was serverly injured in a car crash (which was not her fault). fracturing her leg in 33 places. After 4 and a half years of not being able to bend her leg, much pain, 5 surgeries and hours of physio Heidy could still not bend her leg or sit in a chair , her platella being attatched to her femur. Heidy was left with no alternative but to pay for surgery at Hospital Chirique in a last attempt to restore movement. 6 surgeries later , she can bend her knee and finally sit in a real chair and begins the hard road of physio therapy again. Last week we raised $274.36 towards the $5000 cost of surgery. If you would like to contribute to this cause donations may be made in Heidy's name at St. Juan de Baptista church in Boquete. please place donations in an envelope marked for Heidy's medical costs and leave it with Maria at the church office.
