The bio-musical that will feature the journey of the protagonist, who arrived in the Argentine province of La Pampa (center) in 1942, to work with researcher Bernardo Houssay, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1947, will show her passion for the laboratory mice, her life as a scientist, mother and wife in the twentieth century. Of French origin, raised in Canada and Argentina by adoption, Dosne Pasqualini was the first woman to join the National Academy of Medicine of Buenos Aires. The play, featured by the granddaughter of the scientist, the Argentine actress and playwright Belén Pasqualini, will be performed free of charge at the City of Knowledge Athenaeum, and at the Municipal Theater Gladys Vidal, said the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (Senacyt) in a statement. The creator of the play, Pasqualini said that she is "extremely grateful and excited to continue expanding this story to new countries, especially to bring it to Panama." She said that in reality the specific history is a symbol and an excuse to honor female scientists who, in the twentieth century, fought and tied themselves to their passion, to get a space in the professional fields, mostly dominated by men. The event, which has the support of the City of Knowledge Foundation of Panama, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Municipality of Panama seeks to disseminate and popularize science through artistic expressions, this time through theatrical art. https://www.panamatoday.com/life-style/christiane-bio-musical-exalts-women-scientists-hits-panama-7930
