Keith Woolford Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 A good friend and a fine man, Dr. Alvaro Aguilar Arosemena, passed last week. He was a fixture at Olga's Restaurant (previously Rosie's Central Park) in the Alto Dorado center, together with his loving esposa, Rosa Calles. Alvaro had a great sense of humour and real character. He was a true cancer survivor who had lost most of his stomach and intestines but who did what he had to do stay alive for many years including maintaining a positive attitude.. Despite being well past retirement age, he felt driven to work. His last position was at the clinic of the Ministerio de Salud beside Romero, primarily treating indigenous women. Educated in Spain, he was a noted speaker on the subject of cervical cancer and had previously held senior positions in CSS and MOH facilities in Chiriqui and Panama City. I will miss him. RIP Alvaro 1 1 Quote
