Many of us expats are getting older. Even if those of us who live alone and have a designated person to administer "last wishes," disposing of everything in a household would be a tremendous burden on that person. As curiosity, I did a search on estate sales and how they work. Here's one example: http://money.howstuffworks.com/personal-finance/financial-planning/estate-sales.htm I'm certainly not interested in starting an estate sale business myself, but doing so could possibly be a lucrative endeavor for some of the younger expats here. There is a new Funeral Home in Alto Boquete, called the Funeraria Virgen de Guadalupe. It's located on the east side of the Via Boquete highway about a kilometer north of the Pro-Integration Foundation and new Policlinica. This building has been under construction for years, and the second floor is not totally closed in, but they're open for business. The sign says cremation services are offered.

Some months ago I heard a rumor that a cremation facility was going to open in David. Does anyone know anything about it? If there is no facility in David, does someone have experience in making arrangements for the one (or more) in Panama City?

Anyone who did not go to one of Nikki Steel's presentations about dying in Panama should go to the Boquete Hospice web page and print out the forms and documents under the topic Being Prepared. There is valuable information there for those who have realized they are not immortal. http://boquetehospice.org/
