  5. While there were times when we thought the market seemed slow yesterday, we realized that having such a large new indoor space can be deceiving - we kept a tally and had over 150 visitors come through during a time when we know many are not yet ready to come out and mingle! We had a great mix of new vendors and old favorites, and will add even more vendors next week. Watch for more photos and announcements in the next couple of days.
  6. At BCP we are aware that some people are very wary about going out and mixing with others and will only start to do so gradually. We would like everyone to know that their well-being is of prime importance to BCP and we have been taking every possible step to minimise risks. For merchants in Boquete it has been very difficult to make a living for the past 6 months and we have been working for months to be able to re-open our Tuesday Market in the Arco Iris Salon on the Feria grounds to enable them to start doing business again. 8. Here is our current list of vendors for the first full week, after being restricted to half strength for the first week. As you can see we have a great selection of food, produce, coffee, handicrafts: Exactly what you would expect from BCP. All of this is possible even with the social distancing restrictions in our new location, and in the future we would be able to have many more, all under one roof. You can also drop your mail off for posting by one of our volunteers in the USA. We have stamps available
  9. Yes it's true. We are allowed all 50 vendors now. We are following all the guidelines for the safety of the public and our vendors
  10. And we are off to a great start. A big thank you to our vendors and visitors who were there for our first BCP market in the new venue. Even with the limited number of vendors we were allowed, it was a success for all. Thank you to Boquete Community for coming together after all this time
  11. Information for visitors: - How we are following the guidelines set by the government. In addition to staff and vendors, we are allowed to have 25 visitors in the market at any one time. At the door your temperature will be checked, and Hand Sanitizer applied. Anyone with a temperature of 38degC or higher will not be allowed entry and will be referred to MINSA Inside the market tables are spaced at least 2 meters apart and we ask you to follow a one-way system around the market to minimise contact. We ask you not to spend more time inside than necessary so that others can enter.
  12. Each week we will alternate vendors to follow Minsa's guidelines regarding social distancing. Each week we will have fresh vegetables, baked goods, meat, coffee, natural remedies, chocolate, honey, jewelry, charities, and a selection of artisan products. We will also collect your mail (envelopes only, please) and arrange to have it mailed in the U.S. Stamps are available at the BCP table. Here are the vendors for the first week.
  13. In light of the decision by the government of Panama to suspend large gatherings in an effort to curb the spread of the Coronavirus, BCP will support this directive and suspend the Tuesday Market, Tuesday Talks and all other activities including our production of Blithe Spirit until at least April 7. BCP appreciates your continued support and we will communicate any changes to the schedule as soon as possible. We look forward to getting back together once the danger has passed for all our valued members, vendors, and associates!
