Saturday February 11th (Women and Girls in Science Day) we'll leave at 8:00 AM from across from CEFATI (yellow building with the BOQUETE sign), drive to and hike part of La Estancia in reverse. This is a 1 hour hike over a paved street with moderate hills, level 2 for distance and difficulty. If interested email [email protected].
Wednesday February 15th (termination of gasoline subsidy) we'll leave at 8:00 AM from across from CEFATI, drive to and hike the Los Pinos route. This is a 2+ hour in/out hike over a paved and gravel street with moderate + hills, level 8 for distance and difficulty, 7 miles, 14,500 steps, 2844 ft vertical. Bring extra water. Wednesday February 22nd we'll leave at 8:00 AM from across from CEFATI, drive to and hike the la Estancia loop. This is a 2 hour hike over paved and gravel streets with significant hills, level 7 for distance, level 8 for distance, 4.8 miles, 11,200 steps. Bring water and wear hiking boots.
