Saturday April 1st we 'll start a new month and not fool around. We'll leave at 8:00 AM from Sabroson restaurant #1, drive to the Climbing Wall and hike toward/from the Haunted Castle. This is a 1 hour hike over a paved street with moderat hill, level 1 for distance and difficulty. If interested email [email protected].
Tuesday April 4th we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Sabroson restaurant #1, drive to and hike part of the Alto Quiel-El Salto route. This is a 1 hour hike over a paved and gravel street with moderate hills, level 2 for distance and difficulty. Bring water and wear hiking boots. If interested email [email protected].
Saturday April 8th we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Sabroson restaurant #1, drive to and hike part of the Pipeline Trail. This is a ~1 hour hike in the rainforest with moderate hills, level 1 for distance, level 2 for difficulty. Wear hiking boots and bring water and a hiking stick. There's a $5 regular/$3 jubilado fee - they generally don't have change. If interested email [email protected].
Monday April 10th (Panama Harpy Eagle Day) we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Sabroson restaurant #1, drive to and hike the Pipeline Trail. This is a 2 hour in/out rainforest hike with moderate hills, level 6 for distance, level 7 for difficulty. Wear hiking boots and bring water, snack and hiking stick. There's a $3 trail fee. Tuesday April 11th we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Sabroson restaurant #1, drive to and hike the El Santuario loop. This is a 1 hour hike over paved and gravel streets with moderate hills, level 1 for distance, level 2 for difficulty. If interested email [email protected].
Friday April 14th we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Sabroson restaurant #1, drive to and hike Horqueta. This is a 2+ hour hike over paved and gravel streets with substantial hills, level 6 for distance, level 8 for difficulty, 3.6 miles, 8600 steps. Bring water and a snack. Monday April 17th we're going to have 2 hikes - you can choose which you prefer.
For both we'll leave at 8:00 AM from Sabroson restaurant #1 and drive to the entrance to the Pipeline Trail. Then Jim Kennedy will lead a hike to the Culebra Trail. This is a 2 hour hike in the rainforest which includes a dangerous river crossing - cross the river on foot or over a very slippery wooden bridge with no rails, level 7 for distance, level 9 for difficulty. This is where one of our hikers fell off and broke his back. Bring a hiking stick and wear hiking boots. I will lead the hike to theRanger station and back. This is a 2 hour in/out hike over paved streets with substantial hills, level 8 for distance, level 9 for difficulty. Bring water, hiking boots optional. If interested email [email protected].

This is a 2 hour hike over paved streets and trails with substantial hills, level 6 for distance, level 8 for difficulty, 4 miles, 9100 steps. Bring water, hiking stick and wear hiking boots.
