Hike EZ Friday & Nature Walk

Meeting 8:30 A.M. on the Boquete Library square at 8:35 we carpool to the trailhead - Pipeline Trail. Our hike will be 2 plus hours. Please bring $3.00, exact change would be helpful for the worker collecting - this is the entry fee.

This is another perfect area for nature buffs, birders and for the person who wants to do some exercise on that morning. It is part meadow, then the trail becomes a rainforest with the Rio Caldera gently flowing alongside the trail. We may not hear or see a Quetzal as, it is not yet the mating season, but then one never knows. There are many birds to spot on this trail so bring along binocs. We will also see the oldest tree in the area over 1000 years. This magnificent tree has survived at least one Volcan Baru eruption. So as you can tell there is much to see on this trail.

Pack rain gear as well as water, a snack, binocs, camera and remember your hiking sticks. Wear long pants, hiking shoes or gym shoes with good outer sole treads.

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful - Alice Walker

See you on the trail -
