Wednesday Morning Hike meeting place in front of Sugar & Spice. Our hike will be in a rainforest area in Alto Chiquero.Bring $3 dollars if, you are a Panama resident or $5.00 exact change please. Intermediate to advanced hikers will enjoy this hike as it has many slopes. the trailhead begins at almost 6,000 ft.
From the Boquete side, "Sendero de los Quetzales" starts after Alto Chiquero's Ranger Station with three quarters of an hour hike (mostly downhill with ups) on a dirt road. At some point instead of continuing on the dirt/rock road we take a left and join the trail that immediately immerses us into the rainforest for about, we'll do this part for about 45 min. to an hour and head back.
Pack rain gear. Include in that pack water, a snack, binocs, camera and remember your hiking sticks. Wear long pants, hiking shoes or gym shoes with good outer sole treads.
See you on trail.
