Integrating Pilates and Clinical Somatics Exercises to not only strengthen, stretch & work out, but to align, integrate and coordinate the total body through slow, thoughtful therapeutic movements.
For people who have exercised regularly and who want to work on bringing awareness to and soothing problem areas through what Clinical Somatics refers to as "Pandiculation"-  a highly effective way to reduce pain and/or restore whole body symmetry and good posture. 
Expand your movement repertoire, feel great and have fun!
About the Instructor- Susan Clare has been a devotee and instructor of exercise for over 30 years. She is a Certified Mat & Ball Pilates Instructor, a Certified Integrative Yoga Therapist, former Personal Trainer and  a Fl. State Licensed Massage Therapist.
Eight months ago Susan slipped in a puddle on a patch of slime, cracked her kneecap & needed surgery. She has had a rapid recovery & to the delight of her surgeon, restored her movement abilities extremely well. Ms. Clare feels she owes her success to the addition of Clinical Somatics Exercises into her movement repertoire, 
Now, she would like to share her latest passion with other exercises from her diverse background with others. Through Somatic Movement Exercises, Susan not only restored her knee but undid the back and hip inflammation she had experienced prior to her accident. She believes  small gentle movements done with full concentration, bring wholeness & symmetry to the body reducing postural irregularities, tension and pain.
Ongoing Classes begin at the Haven on Monday, May 10th at 9:00 a.m. & will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays for 60-75 minutes. 
All classes will be standing and mat, and utilize stretchy bands and hand weights. It is strongly suggested each student bring one or two yoga or exercise mat[s]. Stretchy bands and 3 pound hand weights will be provided. A single class fee is $12, or a 4-class package may be purchased for $40, 8 classes for $64, and unlimited classes in a month for $80.  All classes in a package must be taken in a calendar month, and are to be paid in cash, directly to the instructor.
